Facial care for Silver Spring

HydraFacial near Silver Spring

Silver Spring is the largest place people travel to us from, and the bookings from it are the most varied — shift workers, parents, people coming straight from a downtown office.

Your appointment

Give your skin the time to be understood

The appointment leaves room to discuss your goals, your current routine, sensitivity and any recent treatments before it begins. Your provider can explain the steps and say whether this is the right fit today.

HydraFacial treatment setting at Spa Chevy Chase in Chevy Chase, Maryland

Coming from Silver Spring

Silver Spring is a proper hub rather than a neighbourhood, and the trip across to Chevy Chase varies a lot depending on which part you set off from and when. Give yourself more time than the map suggests at rush hour.

Because the bookings here come from such different schedules, we do not assume yours. If you are coming off a night shift, or between school pickup and something else, that is worth saying — it changes what the provider suggests you do afterwards.

Book a HydraFacial

The treatment, plainly

HydraFacial cleanses, exfoliates, extracts and hydrates in one 80-minute appointment, using a handpiece rather than manual extraction alone. There is no peeling phase.

It will not resolve acne, melasma or rosacea. Those need a plan and often a clinician; if that is what you are dealing with, the consultation should end with a referral or a different recommendation rather than a booking.

Allow for the traffic

The crossing varies a lot with the hour and where in Silver Spring you start.

Any shift pattern

Coming off nights or between pickups changes what to do afterwards. Say which.

Not for acne or melasma

Those need a plan and often a clinician. You should be told, not booked.

Good to know

Booking from Silver Spring

How long should I allow for the whole trip?

The appointment is 80 minutes. Add travel both ways, and add more than you think at rush hour.

I have sensitive, reactive skin. Is this suitable?

Sometimes, at a lower intensity — and sometimes not. Describe what has caused reactions before, including products.

The provider will tell you if it is not the right treatment.

Do I need to do anything to prepare?

Avoid starting a new active ingredient in the days before, and come with your actual routine rather than a summary of it.

Which cross street should I look for?

North Park Avenue, off the main road. Put the full address into the map rather than the name of the spa.

Is the Beltway or Colesville Road the better route?

Both work; the Beltway is faster off-peak and worse at five. If you are coming after work, the surface route is often the steadier bet.

My skin reacts to almost everything. Should I book at all?

Book and say so at the start. Your provider can work more gently, leave steps out, and stop if your skin says so — but only if they know before beginning.

Can you patch test?

Ask when you book. If your skin has reacted before, that conversation belongs before the appointment rather than at the start of it.

What counts as reactive enough to mention?

Anything that has left your skin red, itchy or sore for longer than an evening. If you are weighing up whether it counts, it counts.

Should I stop using anything before I come?

Leave strong exfoliants alone for a couple of days. For prescription products, ask the person who prescribed them as well as asking here.

Is a morning or afternoon appointment better if I am driving up?

Mid-morning avoids both peaks. It is the least stressful arrival, which matters more than it sounds when you have driven half an hour.

Can I eat beforehand?

Yes. Nothing about the appointment requires an empty stomach.

What if my skin is having a bad week?

Say so and come anyway — your provider will decide what is sensible on the day, and that decision is worth more than sticking to a plan made a fortnight ago.

Will you tell me to come back for more than one appointment?

Only if your provider thinks it is worth it. They will also tell you when it is not.

Is it worth the drive for a single appointment?

That is your call, and it is a fair question at half an hour each way. Book the shorter option first and judge it once rather than committing to a plan.

Can I book the same slot every month?

Ask about a standing time when you book. A repeating slot is easier to hold than one you rebook each time.

Is parking included?

There is parking. Allow a couple of minutes for it in your timing rather than counting the drive to the door.

What if I get there early?

There is somewhere to sit, and arriving with a few minutes spare is better than arriving on the minute after a drive.

Do I need to bring my product list?

A photograph of the ingredient panels is more useful than a list of brand names, particularly if your skin is reactive.

Can I ask for a shorter appointment on the day?

Ask at the start rather than partway through. Shortening it is straightforward before your provider has planned the session around the time booked.

How do I book, and how far ahead?

Through the button on this page. A few days ahead is usually enough on a weekday; weekends need longer.
